Glen Kilgore GLEN J. KILGORE, 83 ROSCOE - Glen J. Kilgore, 83, of Roscoe passed away at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in his residence. Born Aug. 27, 1924, in Tracy City, Tenn., the son of Oliver and Lillie (Lane) Kilgore. Married Harriet L. Knotts on May 3, 1953, in Detroit, for 52 years until her death in 2006. Veteran of World War II, serving in the 82nd Airborne. Glen retired from Chrysler after 35 years. Loving father, grandfather, great-grand-father, uncle, friend and neighbor, he was described by all who knew him as a kind and giving man, who was always ready to help others. He loved to travel and visited 44 states with highlights including the rededication of the Statue of Liberty, Hawaii and two World Fairs. Survivors include daughter, Glenna (Brad) Anderson; grandsons, Michael (Joanne) Kilgore of Minneapolis, Chris Kilgore of Tampa, Fla., and Erik Anderson of Roscoe; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Norman, Alexis, Carrie and James; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; son, Kerry; and seven brothers and sisters. Service at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, in Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from noon to time of service; the Rev. John M. O'Lane will officiate.
