I don't think Bob was being serious - the emoticon :-) (which is read as a sideways smiley face) after his statement indicates that he knows what he said was silly. No need to heap opprobrium just for a joke. One of the things I like about this mailing list is the banter and silly jokes. Let's not kill that.
