    3. Dorothy, My husband's gr grand father was Jesse Rather Kilgore. He was born in 1848 in Oxford, Calhoun, Alabama. His parents died when the children were very young and they were divided amongst the relatives. Jesse lived with an uncle and they moved to Texas. He married Lydia Anne Bradfield. They moved to Pauls Valley Oklahoma and they stayed there until he retired from farming around 1930 when they moved to Oklahoma City, OK. Earlier the Kilgores and Bradfields were from Georgia. I don't know if Jesse had slaves. I believe there were lots of Jessies. Carole Bazzell On Tue, Dec 15, 2009 at 11:34 AM, William E.
