But,Killgowr's regardless of spelling variant all originate in Fife, Scotland regardless of where they might have been from after the early 1600's. Kilgour is a very particular location and place and it is by no accident that our name was preserved over the centuries to become a surname in the late 1400's. Scotland is but a child compared to the age of Kilgoueri or Cillgour or Kilgore, or Killgore or Kilgaur or however you want to spell it...its all the same. Roy E.
