Author: JIMBOBKILGORE Surnames: Kilgore Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.kilgore/1664/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Some people seem to feel that the Thomas Kilgore that is living beside Stephen C.Kilgore in Russell Co.Va.in the earlier 1800's is Stephens son , but Thomas can be found as early as 1779 on the Russell Co.Va.Tax and Census list at the age of at least 21 which I believe would make him to old to be the son of Stephen.He would be more likely a brother or cousin.I know he came to Tennessee shortly or at the same time as Stephen becauses Thomas owns land in Franklin Co.in 1812 and is living in Marion Co.in 1830 and Hamilton Co.in 1840 where he past away right after.I am the GGG-grandson of Thomas and Martha Kilgore and I have been trying to find the father of Thomas for the last 6 years but I have nothing with proof.But I do know he was born earlier than some Family Trees list.If anyone knows anything that can help , please E-mail.
