Hello Everyone! According to my family records, I relate back to the Robert Kilgore with the approximate dates of 1735-1782 who resided in the Virginia/ N. Carolina area. My info shows that he was born in Ireland, but aside from a bunch of names and dates I don't know much more about the family. My great grandmother did most of the initial genealogy research/compiling a long time ago (I don't know how much of the information she originally started with), and my family has never been sure how accurate the info is but when I plugged all the names and dates I have into ancestry.com it seemed to be consistent with 1,000s of other family trees. Not entirely sure what that means, but it seems promising given that the original information I had was collected without the help of a computer or internet. Anyway, I'm just starting out with all of this and I'm sure there's lots of stuff on the site for me to start reading before I begin asking questions!
