Hopefully, I'll make a connection somewhere! I had thought at one time that the connection you mention was mine, but could find nothing to prove the fact. My gg-granddaddy, John Andrew Kilgore had named his first-born son Charles and his second son John Andrew Jr. I was thinking that way back then it was the normal way of naming for the first-born son to be named after his grandfather and the second after his father. Anyway, like I said, I could find no positive proof on the Charles - John relationship.
