Okay, so most of the time I'm a quirky poster who works hard not to offend, BUT..... To whoever complained about the chat on this genealogy list, I'm afraid you're in for a frustrating time. This board is about more than just our historical genealogies, though I doubt there's one person who disagrees those are important. We have bonded in ways generations that follow us will view as a gift because the logs of this board will tell them more about their ancestors than all the records they gather. Darn, (sorry, but that's the strongest word I use) would I love to find a cache of letters written from one Kilgore to another in some trunk someplace; now that's real genealogy! And so is the conversation that occurs on this board. Instead of diaries and letters, we leave behind emails. I know there are lots of "Just the facts, ma'am" genealogists; but I'm sure you've waded through a lot more stuff in the bowels of some library to find a nugget than you will on this board. Anyway, that's my two-cents worth. To save on unnecessary posts, I recommend those who AGREE with me NOT post to the whole list out of courtesy to others.
