Whitwell Tennessee is in Marion County Tennessee. (It is the county just west of Hamilton when Chattanooga is.) My grandmother, May Kilgore, was born there. It is in a beautiful lush green valley. Note: It is still underdeveloped, convenient to Chattanooga, and would make good investment property. Once you visit there, you can see how those Indian residents who decided not to go west on the Trail of Tears, could have easily hidden out. Then they just migrated south into Alabama. Cousin Dennie
