    3. Have been sort of sitting in on your correspondence and notice your relationship to one Hugh Kilgore of Missouri, his father being Washington Kilgore of Caldwell KY. - and perhaps that line goes back to another Hugh Kilgore who goes back to James Kilgore and Elizabeth Jack of PA. I have been working on the family of James Kilgore and Elizabeth Jack for some years. Our connection down South is the second son of James Kilgore and Elizabeth = Benjamin Kilgore of PA, who became a revolutionary war veteran in SC and who moved to KY at the end of his life with some of his children and died in Livingston Co KY in 1802. There were many other Kilgores in KY, whom we cannot identify. Among them are the sons of Benjamin Kilgore whom he mentions in his will. Benjamin's children were: James, John, Jonathan, William, David, Hugh, Samuel, Jane, Elizabeth, Isabel, Mary and Benjamin. Some of these children remained in SC, others lived in KY and moved on, others remained in KY. I am not entirely familiar with this branch of the family and cannot help you, however, I thought I might mention that it seems necessary for your peace of mind to document the father of Washington Kilgore in your family. This is the place where you could easily go astray.
