    3. Hi Donna, This is the Grandfather that is a big mystery to the family. He was in the civil war U.S. Art. & U.S. Cav. Also the Spanish American war. He was always off fighting in a war. He was separated from my Grandmother & the kids did not know very much about him. I am really hoping I can get some mysteries solved by the pension file. I do have a picture of him.He died before I was born. He was born on the East coast maybe Indiana. ( 1872.) Indiana has no records of the birth. Family was in Ohio & Virginia.(Maybe Pa.) Actually he was all over the U.S. but he is buried in L.A. National Cemetery. He could have had another family we didn't learn about since he didn't stay with my Grandmother.They did have 5 children together. They were never divorced. Still putting pieces of the puzzle together. It would really be nice to find a connection. I still need to gather more facts.
