In Betty's information " The son Benjamin Kilgore, moved to Spartenburg and Laurens County, S.C. He served as a Captain in the militia and was taken prisoner at Charleston on May 12, 1780. From September, 1781, he served as a colonel. Benjamin married Anne McCray. Anne and the one son, James were riding on horseback and were overtaken by a company of hostile Indians, who".......I'm sure you already have this. The father Benjamin married a second time to Jane McDavid and they reared a large family and moved to what was to become Caldwell County around 1800. The sons, David and William were given original land grants on Dry Fork of Eddy Creek in 1798. Benjamin died here in 1802. Benjamin left wife, Jane, and 12 children: James, Jane, Elizabeth, Isabel, John, William, David, Hugh, Samuel, Polly, Jonathan and Benjamin." I have his will if it will help you.
