    3. I have some interest in the question of whether Benjamin Kilgore of SC is the same person as Benjamin Kilgore of KY. While I do not want to get involved because I am no great authority, I will say Benjamin of KY gave his children names from a list of siblings and parents of Benjamin Kilgore of SC and PA. In other words, In Cumberland Co PA James Kilgore, father of Benjamin Kilgore named his chilren: Hugh, Benjamin, Joseph, Patrick, David, Mary, Oliver, Ezekiel, John, Jonathan, William, Jesse, and Robert. Benjamin of KY had James, John, Jonathan, William, David, Hugh, Samuel (a brother of James of Cumberland Co) Jane, Elizabeth (wife of James of Cumberland Co) Isabel, Mary, and Benjamin. You will note that James of Cumberland Co had but one daughter, Mary. Outside of Isabel and Jane, I think the names coincide. Whether this is significant is something for others to judge. Good luck in the search. 3. I have a question about the name Oliver in the list. Does anyone know who his dependence were? I have an Oliver in my line. he comes from my Ralph b. S.C. 1790,, Ralph named his children : James, Mitchell, Charles, Thomas, and Wiley. James named his one of his son's Wiley who named one of his sons Oliver. I have been looking for any connection to the parents of my Ralph for some time now, with no luck. I just have this feeling there has to be something of a family relationship with the S.C. Kilgore's but can not seem to find it.
