    1. Re: [KILGORE] Charles Kilgore
    2. Hello Vickie and all my cousins, Vickie, I cannot say for certain who this Charles and Mary Kilgore is but since it mentions land being on a line with a person named Gray: "Charles Kilgore and James Green thence running to two white oaks, thence on a conditional line between sd Charles Kilgore and GRAY to a bucky & sugartree" I am going to say that this Charles Kilgore is the son of Rev. Robert "Robin" Kilgore and Jane Porter Kilgore. This particular Charles Kilgore married Mary Polly GRAY. On 7 July 1858, G W Bond Sr qualified as the administrator of the large estate of Reverend Charles Kilgore. As for his occupation during his life time, He served as the Justice of Peace of Scott Co, in 1819. He was qualified as Commissioner of Revenue in 1842 and in 1846 he was elected to the position of High Sheriff. He also served as a Baptist Minister. Until later, good hunting, Jerry Penley in Kingsport, TN www.Penjaccphoto.com
