I have signed Therese up on our board and hope someone can help her with her "brickwall." Here is a post I got from Therese: Hi Jerry, I found references to you all over the many Kilgore websites. Got your email address from the home page of the Kilgore Family in Georgia. I would like to be put on the Kilgore genealogy mailing list. I've been searching and searching and have found nothing that closely resembles my ancestors...there's a missing link somewhere I have yet to find. Here's some info on me...if you know anything about these folks, could you pass it on to me. I would be most grateful. Here's what I have on the Kilgore side: My name is Therese Kilgore, Phoenix, AZ My Father is Ronald Louie Kilgore, born in Anniston, AL on March 31, 1932, died September 28, 1988 His Father was Alvin Mann Kilgore of Anniston, AL (I think that was where he was born) born on July 8, 1901. (I have no further info on Alvin...who is parents were, etc...this is where the missing link comes in) Alvin Mann Kilgore married Ruth Louise Knighton of Anniston, AL on March 13, 1920 in Atlanta Georgia. Ruth was born March 28, 1904 in Anniston, AL Alvin & Ruth had 2 other children: Mary Catherine Kilgore born on April 14, 1921 in Anniston, AL, died May 2, 1963 Alvin Mann Kilgore Jr. born on February 14, 1928, died January 21, 1981 Alvin Mann Kilgore died August 19, 1959 Ruth Kilgore was born to Robert James Knighton and Clyde Elizabeth Morton. I inherited an old 1880's bible that has these names, birth and death dates listed (it's an old salesman's dummy bible). If you have any links or info, could you please pass them on. I have over 30 photos (the old metal kind) of people I know nothing about. The photos are from the 19th century (mid to late 1800's). Since my immediate family have all passed on, I have no clue who these people are. Let me know if we are related. Thanks for your time and patience. Sincerely, Therese Kilgore Until later, good hunting, Jerry in Kingsport, TN www.Penjaccphoto.com ==== KILGORE Mailing List ==== Introduce a person to a very frustrating hobby, Genealogy, and invite them to join our board!
