    3. Carolyn, My father was always "real" evasive when I would question him about his family. I still do not have any answers. He passed away in June. The only thing he ever told me was that my grandfather was arrested for bootleggin in his (gf) younger years and that he(gf) had 2 brothers. I have since learned that he also had daughters and I had to read that in his obit. Still have not gotten any further or different info. There for awhile I was beginning to think this tree didn't have any branches. But I do know that whatever I find out will be a stepping stone into my heritage. Like Gail says, we are all human, even our ancestors. When you research old newspapers, do you read some of the articles? They can be quite entertaining. Hang in there and don't stop 5 min. before the miracle happens.
