That is where he met his first born for the first time (Edith Walker was wife #3). Grandpa was married to Pearl Roberts and for whatever reason she left him but never told him she was with child. How he found out was that someoen said there was a young man on base that looked just like him. That would ahve been Lawerence Roberts. According to my mother who caguely remembers them visiting was that Lawerence and wife had three boys possibly a couple years older at the time, ages about 15 down to 11 or 12. Here is what my Uncle passed down to me: Howard Killgore was US Army at that time they were still in Cavalry divisions. Played in the army band, several instruments. He never liked the physical part. At that time (the 30's) there was Navy and Army; marines and air force came a bit later i believe. He was stationed at Kelly Field, San Antonio, still an active base as far as I know.
