Jerry, I say very little, but I do agree with you. I will definitely pay for any information that leads to me learning more about my ancestors, for I have paid plenty to go to different places to gather info. Believe me, paying somebody for a copy of a book, CD, etc., about your family, is always a fraction of what it cost to retrieve the info yourself. I welcome people sharing info about different sources which require money, if it is pertinent to the group or an individual as a member of the group. I do not know of anyone who has made a profit off family genealogies they have published. Your are certainly entitled to tell people about your CD. It is left up to them if they want to purchase the CD. If anyone ever published a CD or a book on my husband's Kilgores, I certainly want to know about it, and I will certainly buy it.
