Samuel is the only one not in the top five but Samuel is our family also. Mary is not in the top five but Margaret is. I look forward to investigating a little even though I have claimed to be retired from genealogy! I have submitted a sample for Y chromosome testing with Famity Tree DNA out of Houston, Texas. They have a group project going. Most of then participants immigrant ancestors appear to be from Northern Ireland. Mine come from Markinch, Scotland. I am very interested to see of the 37 markers they are checking line up with the group. If they do it will definitely broaden our global view of Kilgour. I will try to remember to let you know how that works out because if it does it may be of interest to you also. You can check them out on the internet using the company name, close the spaces add .com. Your book was mailed from San Luis Obispo, California, today when I finished my Saturday bike ride. I like to see my blood pressure plummet when I'm done since most of the time it is the other way around! Roy E. Killgore Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Many thanks for sending me a copy of the book. I look forward to reading it very much. There is a library in Londonderry that houses census returns for the area from 1901. Other records are held at the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) in Belfast. These can be accessed on the internet. I will send you the web address later when I find it. Unfortunately due to the nature of this part of the world and all of the troubles that have taken place here over the years a lot of the records (census returns etc)have been destroyed and it is difficult to go back beyond the mid 1800's. I can go back to about the 1830's but before that it's down to guesswork and putting two and two together but not being fully sure that they add up correctly. As soon as I find the web address for PRONI I will send it to you. I have it somewhere but can't put my hand on it at present. Christian names that keep popping up in my line are James, Robert, William, Samuel, Isabella, Mar! y, John and others. Please keep in touch. Thanks again, Ronnie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. It will be the first in Northern Ireland. If you know of other Kilgore's there that might be interested in a copy I'll try to get it to them. Is there a library in Londonderry that is frequented by genealogists and familyt historians? How good a shape are the birth/baptismal records in and where are they best found? How far back can you track your Kilgore ancestry? Your book will go out today and I suppose it'll take about a week or so. I'd appreciate your thoughts when you are done. Roy E. Dadoo (Billy) and his wife were working on his car at their home a couple of hours ago. Somehow the car got into reverse and ran over Mama Boots (his wife). She was rushed to the hospital and Dadoo is in horrible shape. We don't know how bad she is yet, but she does have a head injury and we don't yet know of any other injuries she may have. She was rushed to the hospital, John Petersmith in Fort Worth and we are getting ready to head out there ourselves. Dadoo has not been doing well lately. He has had congestive heart failure for a long time and has a pacemaker. He has had several spells lately with his heart that landed him in the hospital. 3. I suspect you need a subscription to Ancestry.com to get into any of the other family trees thingies. That you don't need a subscription to each one.  I had no problem getting into Wagon Train, My Family or Rootsweb, each with a different name and password.  It is based on your email address.  I changed my email address and really screwed things up.  C Robert (Bob) Shaw 2425 Sherwin Dr. Twinsburg Ohio 44087 Phone: 330 425 8819 Fax; 330 963 6858 superchief87@yahoo.com www.engineeredspecialproducts ----- Original Message ---- From: "DdHober@aol.com" <DdHober@aol.com> To: kilgore@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, October 2, 2009 12:50:12 AM Subject: Re: [KILGORE] Kilgore Wagon Train It did the same for me. It is of no cost, but you can chose to continue  using the old version. The new version is not that much different. Hit the password lost button have them send out your passwords.
