As most of you know my son is medically fragile. Right now he needs prayers as he is fighting for his life. My son has E-Coli in his lungs. We are just asking for prayers. We had to put a stop to any extra visitors that were not his siblings, care provider or myself for his health and theirs. Please keep him in your prayers. Dd

It is in mint condition and I shall begin exploring the information it carries. My Kilgore ancestors are on my mother's side. My wife is a Duff -- another well-known clan among the Scots. indeed her grandfather was born in Port Mahomick (spelling is in doubt?) So this will expand my daughter's Scottish forbears. Thank you very much. Jim Yoder book will expand my Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. That may be the problem for delay since it was sent 1st class. Do you have a postal code that should have been used? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. However my recent experience with ordering some books from Amazon suggests that patience is in order. Two of the three books I ordered were to come from a store in CA. I had ordered in mid-September and they arrived yesterday, shipped from TN by a forwarding company in NY,and they arrived in my postal box. My address however is: 107 - 16080 82 Ave., Surrey, BC, Canada. Thanks. Jim Yoder Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The name is very very old, predates Scotland as a nation, is a relatively new surname, and there are a very small number of progenitors and possibly just one. There is a description for family arms to be found in some of Scotland's oldest manuscripts that I believe are of signal importance. Gail, here is my John! Much later than yours but married to a Martha! 1. John M. Nicely, born 01 Jul 1835; died 06 Jun 1895. He was the son of 2. William Nicley and 3. Rachel. He married (1) Martha Cemintha (Mint) (Surminthia) Whited Abt. 1860. She was born 21 Aug 1838 in Claiborne Co., TN., and died 02 Feb 1904. She was the daughter of Claiborne Preston "Press" Whited and Lucinda Lowery. Generation No. 2 2. William Nicley, born 1813. He married 3. Rachel. 3. Rachel, born 1815. Some say Martha Cemintha Whited was Native American but have found absolutely no proof of that. She supposedly spoke broken English. Gladys In a message dated 10/12/2009 3:55:31 P.M. Gail, I have Nicely's in Union/ Claiborne Counties area of Tn. but none of the other names so probably no connection. Gladys In a message dated 10/12/2009 2:49:43 P.M. Just the one generation? I can give it to you... I have spent the better part of three days working on a friends line which is in MO, TN, NC, SC and MD. Sound familiar? I feel like I am retracing my steps finding those Kilgore's. The line is McNutt with the Mc dropped to Nutt and I am trying to find the Cherokee connections. Also in this line is Boyd, David, Nicely so if anyone has any connections to these lines, yell loud. I think the Boyd line is her connection to her Native American heritage. Gail
