Thanks, still it helps me make better sense of the results. Would you mind using your software and recomputing the latest participants entries? I know I'd appreciate it. The ACTUAL mutations occur either more or less frequently in real life. So someone 10 generations removed may have 2 mutations and another person, also 10 generations removed, may have 3, so the program that makes the graph will guess that the person with 3 mutations is 13 generations removed instead of 10. All this is to say that the graph is only an indication, not an authority. JK On Nov 12, 2009, at 10:08 AM, Vickie Miller wrote: > That makes two of us. I have a $100.00 left for DNA and I found a Westmoreland Co., PA Kilgore who lives in Rising City, Nebraska who will do a DNA for us and I offered to pay for it. I will pay the difference and hope that there is a sale going on right now. He does not have a computer so will have to snail mail with him. His relative turned me down....... ;-((( Gail
Here is confused here again.... Roy has the results of his DNA and he is connecting into the group that Jack connects too. He descends from Joseph Kilgore in Maine. Has anyone of the Chester Co. PA Kilgore's or the Elizabeth Kilgore Jack line done and DNA? If you guys can't find anyone to do DNA out of the Chester Co./Westmoreland group let me know and I will get someone in NE who descends from that line to do DNA. Brian Kilgore lives up the road Awautukee, how is that for not knowing how to spell it? I can see if I can tract Brian down otherwise I will find one of his cousins or he may still have an uncle alive but his father has passed on. They are the ones who went into OH>IN>.IL and then Rising City, Bulter Co., NE Who is the common denominator???? Gail
Gail many thanks for your patience. Just to update everyone- I posted messages on the following boards urging our Kilgore cousins to help build the Kilgore DNA data base, both YDNA & MtDNA: - Facebook's "Echoes From the Past" group which includes 6-10 descendants Of Rev. Robt "Robin" - Gen Forum . Scott Co,VA . Sullivan Co, TN. where many Kilgores moved in the early 30's for jobs in Kingsport . Robertson Co, TN in hopes of getting descendant(s) of Thos (1748-1822). It would be nice to get DNA confirmation that he is one of the brothers . Orange Co, NC . Granville Co, NC . Caswell Co, NC I included MtDNA because my results confirmed the paper trail of mi Guilliam/Stidham line back to the mid 1750's. Happy Veteran's Day to my veteran brothers & sisters. Jack

The Kilgore BOARDS are located at rootsweb.ancestry.com and when you post a message to the BOARDS the message also posts to the Kilgore MAIL list. You CANNOT reply to a BOARD message on the mail list. If you do, your message goes back to the mail list and not to the sender on the BOARDS. You can only answer a BOARD message on the BOARD list and messages sent to the MAIL list only archive on the MAIL list. If the BOARD list accepts attachments, then only the BOARDS accept attachments. Attachments are not allowed on the Kilgore MAIL list. This is their rules not ours. I subbed Jack Templeton to the MAIL list. I have not heard if he is getting messages. Personally, I don't like to use the BOARDS and very seldom reply to a message on them. But, like I said, that is my choice. I know it gets confusing but is there anything simple when it comes to genealogy? Gail
