Randy, Knowing the shock you too would feel at the news of Jack's passing, I've been waiting for your message. I knew you would say well what we all feel so deeply. We did, indeed, love him. I hope your vacation was wonderful, though it ended on such a sad, sad note. Thank you for being here. Hi guys, it has been a long time since I posted my web page address on the board so will do so now in case there are new people on the board that might find a lost thread. Please understand that it is still a work in progress and there are mistakes that must be corrected. Do hope this might help one or two of you. http://home.earthlink.net/~cmcgehee0001/ Cindy (Kilgore) McGehee
Sorry for your loss, keep the chin up and know that there are many of us out here with shoulders to cry on.
Dear Friends, I just returned from vacation, and heard the sad, sad news of the passing of our dear friend Jack. Flying home today, the sun was bright above the clouds, and rainy and gloomy below. I imagine that's a good description of what I feel at this news. Jack's new friends in heaven (and old ones, too) have the sunshine of his presence above the clouds, but boy, it sure feels darker down here without him. Funny how much its possible to miss someone you never met, but who you feel as close to as if he lived next door. Jack was a huge, warm, presence to all of us regulars, full of all the best things we look for in each other, and I can't imagine the loss being felt by friends and family who got to see him and be a part of his life. My prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to them. Jerry, if you're out there, thank you for making it possible for us to know Jack; and each other. If you read this, Lois, please know we're praying earnestly for you in the coming days. We loved your husband... Sadly, Randy
Dear Lois, We send you sympathy and strength as you deal with your loss. It is amazing the sense of closeness that these common searches for ancestors bring. Jack was so knowledgeable and so thoughtful about answering my questions and always kind and generous to those of us on this line. He and you have friends you may never know except through email. But we will carry you in our hearts and in our prayers in the days ahead. May God bless you and yours and give you comfort and peace. Dear Lois: My sincere sympathy is with you and your family. You have all my thoughts and prayers. Your loss is great, and I know that words cannot heal your hurt. I wish that I could think of some way to help lessen your loss, but only time will assist you in that. I will miss Jack very much, as I know every one else on this board will also. He was a great person, and so well liked by every one. Prayers are being said not only for Jack, but the prayers extend to you and the family. God bless each and every one of you. Love and a big Hug for you, Lois Donna
Dear Lois, Please know that you and your family will be in our prayers during this most difficult time. Sincerely, Shirley Kilgore Knight
I went to Mobile yesterday and this is what I found: The elusive Raymond Lewis Kilgore(gf)died on 2/25/1942 in Jefferson Co. Al. He is buried in Muscadine next to his mother Harlie(ggm). His father is James W. Kilgore. He and Harlie had Raymond, Lula M., Luther & Denson, according to the 1920 census. Raymond's obit states that the had 2 brothers and 3 sisters. His sister Margaret Gibson signed his death certicate. He was married to Willie Mae Brown(gm) who died Feb. 1968. I don't know dates of marriage or divorce, working on it. Willie Mae and Raymond had my father Edward Howard Killgore who died June 27, 2001. Someone wrote to me about 3 weeks ago and said they had a Raymond buried next to a Harlie. Please e-mail me again. Thanks for your help. Linda Killgore Bond Biloxi, Ms. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo!
