    3. Thanks, Cindy for the information. This is the same Kilgores that Paula was trying to connect with several years back. I don't have them in my file. We think that there is a connection but can't find it yet. This family may also connect with the "Buck" Kilgore family. Mary ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Mcgehee" <cmcgehee01@msn.com> To: <KILGORE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, August 15, 2001 12:13 AM Subject: [KILGORE] Plant City Kilgores > Hi Mary and the rest of the gang I will give you the info I have on the Plant City, Fl. Kilgores: Henry M. Kilgore born Ratcliff, TX. on the 25th December, 1881; son of J>D. Kilgore and Jane Adair. He was educated in TX. and came to Fl. in 1902. He established Kilgore feed and seed and became very successful. He married Flossie Z. Motes in Tampa, Fl. March 07, 1904 and they had five children: Naomi, Mildred, Otis, Lois and Madison. > > I know this family personally from having attended the same local church with them. Madison's widow is still living and is remarried and their two sons are Don Kilgore, who is a retired Judge and John Kilgore who is a doctor here in Plant City. This family has been plagued with scandal and has really taken its toll on Madison's widow. For a long time I was convinced that this was not my line but I have had to rethink this because we are related. I would have to take time to go back and retrace exactly where Henry descends but I was able to do that last year and know that he is a descendant of James SR. You never know where you will find relatives so don't do like I did and assume that there is no relationship. Hope that this helps some of you. Mary I know that both you and Dot Garrison live and have family in TX. so this may be off your line. If you can't make the connection let me know and I will go back over all that I have and see if I can connect to it again. G! > ood luck. 1. [KILGORE] Kilgores in Missouri
    2. Alice S Dyck
    3. Does anyone know why Kilgores would have migrated from Scott Co VA to Phelps Co MO? "My" David Kilgore (b. 1834), son of Robert III, went there, not sure when but is in the 1870 census in PhelpsCo MO. Also, does anyone have information on David (wife Margaret "Peggy" Powers) and their family? I have some info on their 12 children but it is not complete. 1. Re: [KILGORE] Needing Any Help I Can Get
    2. Gail: The way the list used to be set up a person could hit reply and it would go directly to the sender of that email therefore making it a private email. Unfortunatly the way it is set up now if you hit reply it sends to the list no matter what a person does. They will get the persons name wether or not they send it to the list or not, because most people sign there full names or they have their name next to their email address. If a person wants it that bad they will find it no matter what. I apologize up front if I offend anyone with what I have said, and I apologize if this is inapporpriate.
