It gives me a sense of knowing the people when others have claimed them as relatives. It seems everytime I go searching for my other roots, no not the blonde ones either, I always end up finding Kilgores. I never find the ones I am after but those Kilgores sure stood out like sore thumbs all over the place. Dd

Sinus problems? Well let me dig out my Medical books,,, OK,,,, hold on,,,,,,, Aha,,, here it is,, Kilgore Sinus cause: a back up in the flow of information in some Kilgore lines,. The first know case reported was found to be caused by tight fitting purple leggings worn by the Kilgores of the time . (note: It may have had something to do with the dye that was used to make the leggings.. It is reported they used some kind of purple poppy seeds for the dye. The same dye was known to cause fabric to shrink over time, making it a problem with the men who wore them. Other side effects include lose of memory, which might account for the lack of records for the Kilgore clan. It is known to be passed form one unknowing generation to the next. Sex is not a determining factor for this illness.Male and female both suffer from it. remedy: no census can be found at this time, but it is generally felt that the symptoms will pass after a family connection has been found. As some of the Kilgore lines were hatched you may have to suffer with it until you can find the cabbage patch your first ancestor came from. ----- Original Message ----- From: <DdHober@aol.com> To: <KILGORE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2001 9:11 PM Subject: Re: Fw: {not a subscriber} Re: [KILGORE] Am I still on the list? > I know nothing, I saw nothing, I did nothing,, that is my story and I am > sticking to it. > > > LOL sounds like she is closely related to randy. I don't know what it is but every time I see the word bounced I get this horrible vision of purple shorts and a trampoline. It really affects my daily routine of searching the net for my poor lost Kilgore ancestors because my connection to my family has been severed with one word "Bounced". Thank goodness for Gail and her on going effort to get us back on the "list". Thanks Gail for all that you do. Cindy (Kilgore) McGehee

Carol, I am very concerned about you!! It's sounds like you could be having some sort of break-down??. Maybe we can talk about it? I used to work for mental health. (tee-hee) No really! I know what it is you are freaking out because of all this Genealogy. I know, I understand, I am getting kind of weird too! I was o.k. before I started searching for my Kilgore Grandfather. We all understand. Were here to help you. I found it! The title is "Descendents of Joseph Killgore 1690-1764 of Scotland & Treworgy Ancestors. The author is Roy E. Killgore and was printed in 1996. Mary
Billy, I would suggest that Paula read the book out on the Maryland line of Kilgores. I can't find my copy now but maybe someone can give the title. I know that it covers theTrueworthy Kilgore line. The author covers the early Kilgore history in County Fife very well and would give information on libraries that he researched. Seems like he mentioned the library at St. Andrews as being a good source among others. We did go to St. Andrews but I did not go to the library. When we went, I was full of good intentions of doing research and took all of my information and questions. When we got there, we were overwhelmed with Scotland and the people and I made it to the library only one afternoon in Edinburgh. It is best to make reservations in advance when going there.
