I live in KY and have been researching my family history since about 1986. I am searching for Robert Kilgore connections in VA, etc. I have deleted the last four generations, Connie can share that with you herself. Welcome to the new members!! Gail

    2. Hi to all, This is Betty and Frank in Oviedo, FL and I am wondering if everyone is taking a vacation or if somehow we have lost our Kilgore rootsweb site. We are not getting any mail from the rootsweb. Also had a lady from Jacksonville, FL call me to ask for the address of how to join. I thought Gail was doing that while Jerry gets better, gave her Gails e-mail address but have not heard from the lady or seen her on the site? She is searching the Smith side (they are buried in Tallapoosa in the Killgore cemetery) Saw you

    3. Gail, I am sorry to hear about all that has happened to you & your family. We will keep you in our prayers & know others here on the Kilgore board will too. I think all of us are going through some challenging times. Love & support & kindness is really important for us to give to eachother now. I know personally I have had a hard time to get back into the genealogy search. Hope you are doing better & THANK YOU for all you have done to help support this Kilgore board. 3. Thanks Jerry and as I weed thru all my emails, I will try and get caught up on my responsibilities. September and October have been real bad months for my family and me and I think three weeks away from the telephone and computer and enjoying the Mts. in Colorado have given me a refreshing outlook on life. Jack was the topper of all, I could handle the pending death of my aunt and the accidents and etc with my kids but when he got hurt at work, that really put the icing on the cake. He is my strength and my support and that broke the straw... Anyway, we are home and start the doctor's again on Monday and see where we go from here.. Gail

    1. [KILGORE] Query
    2. L&OJS
    3. Dear cousins, I'm posting to this list a query that appeared on the "unknown county" page of the Ga GenWeb site. Since it involves a William Kilgo, I thought I would re-post the info for the person in case someone on the list might make a connection. Am posting the query as it appeared below: Ora Jane A Kilgo family from GA came to Placer Co CA during the gold rush, ca 1851. Presumably William Kilgo was born in Hall Co. in 1830 and then moved to Dahlonega in Lumpkin Co. (both GA counties). This information has not been verified. William married Sarah Beisher in San Francisco then they traveled to Iowa Hill where he first mined in the American River but soon became a successful blacksmith in this area. They raised a family of 7 in Iowa Hill then moved to Colfax around 1900s where they lived for many years. Most of this family is buried in our Colfax Cemetery. We in the Colfax Area Historical Society are trying to put together the stories of pioneer settlers and would like to know of any descendants of these Kilgo folks. Is there anyone researching this name or where can I look or write for more info. We do not seek genealogical documents necessarily but a story or true account of the families in our cemetery. Thanks for any help. I will do lookups for any name in our cemetery. Nilda Duffek Editor Newsletter duffek@oro.net

We'll certainly keep you in our prayers, ... especially this Wednesday, ... as we heed the advice about annual mammograms. Please keep us informed, Nell. I guess what makes this list the best is the "giving of yourself" as so many of you do so well. That really is the best gift of all, isn't it? Yes, Randy does give so much of himself, sustaining us with faith, compassion, and humor. ..... even times when his own reserves must be sorely strained, and humor difficult to come by. Jane, it is wonderful to hear about your husband's recovery. How welcome to hear good news!! The power of prayer is, indeed, awesome! With warm regards, and gratitude for my Kilgore family, Barbara
