Randy, You just want me to be on top of everything..;-) As you noticed I have not published Jack's lineage as you are more than welcome to come to my house for dinner. Since a bunch of the Kilgore's are gathering here in AZ in April it would be fun to have one more mouth to feed. Besides it is Spring here and all the fruit and citrus trees are in bloom and we are in the 80's [for a day or two] and you could probably use a change of scenery. It would be interesting to see you glow at night in the desert. Since we have had some weird sightings of glowing lights at night you would probably fit right in. Might find your connections...;-)) You have a good one. Gail

If you want to tell me you love me, go ahead and say it directly! (GRIN). Seriously, I'm sorry to be messing up your system with my roll call, but I must admit its utterly delightful to see so many people pop up out of the woodwork. I'm busy tracking down Allen now so I can beat him up for unsubbing, and have an old list of members who I'm going to chase down also. They can run, but they can't hide! Tammy, I got a good chuckle out of your creative concoction from my top ten list. However, there's only room for one funny person in this town, so I hereby challenge you to a gunfight at noon in the town square! Be sure to notice the other funny wannabes in the town cemetery as you head over to the square. (GRIN!) Warm regards to all, and (seriously) public apologies to Gail for any trouble I caused. Randy

Hi Gail, This is Karen, Ron's wife. Ron is already gone to work. He has read your letter and left it up for me to find knowing I would respond! (imagine that!) Thank you so much for the letter. I was going to write to you anyway about this. I have suggestion. I don't know how to accomplish it though. Somehow, I think we need to get the word email out of the address. I had to have my mom do that. When Qwest was bought out by msn, they sent (and still do) to anyone who wrote us, a change of address. Well, I have had to tell most everyone to take the 'email' word out! They are frustrating. We don't want to be without the list though. After your letter came this morning, we received another letter informing us we have been bounced off. I had resubscribed last night. Can you help me or just tell me what to do? We enjoy the "FAMILY" way too much to let you go! Love to you and the whole Kilgore brood, Karen STOTTS Myatt Stotts, Pickering, Hess, Johns, Clark, Dye, Perry, Ness, Herbst, Springer, Krauter, Spencer, Belote, Mack, Gee, Soule, Bradford, Hopkins..... and many more! Barbie; No wonder I have loved you from the beginning of posting on the Kilgore Clans Wagon Train. Any one with that name has to be an angel. I wonder if that name has been passed down (as so many other names have). Gosh, It would be wonderful to be a real cousin. I am going to have to double check your genealogy! At one time I had seen a middle name go through posting, and it was Dean. I have found a NE cousin who's name is Dean Kilgore. I met him at a Kilgore reunion. His grandfather and my grandfather were brothers. I wonder if Dean was passed down to me from one of our close relatives. There are so many repeats on names, but I had never ran into a Lee until now. The funny part was when Dean and I first met, a lot of the KILGORE Kin said we looked exactly alike! I am very proud that you are a Barbara Lee, and that we are related in some way. Both of you are beautiful, and great gracious ladies. Love, Donna

Eunice, When a roll call is called it really messes up the administration of the mail list and today mega emails have bounced and members have been bounced off the list. I tried to look her email addy up but ALL people on the MSN server have been bounced off the mail list today. They are having problems and MSN is the worse. When there are a lot of postings and mail boxes fill up their server sends them back to yours truly and the mail list is set up that after so many bounces the person is removed from the mail list. If you tried to email her and it came back, either her mail box is full and the server is rejecting the email or she may be on MSN. Gail

Jerry you are such a great guy! I do have his pension file and it has a lot of info, including a copy of his marriage license, which has been very helpful. And it enabled me to verify his incarceration at Elmira Prison. It is just my snakebit kind of luck that ABK passed away in 1915, just two years before the State of Florida started issuing death certificates! I have been in touch with the Sumter County courthouse, no luck there. Now I am trying to contact the funeral homes in the area, hoping that one will have some information. Maybe the D of C will have some info, as ABK was a recipient of the Southern Cross of Honor. Today, I have been going through the Gwinnett GA 1900 Census (page by page - no index) in the hope that some clue may be found there. If any of my "cuzzins" ( and I hope I'm related to every single one of you on this list ) out there have any suggestions as to which rock to look under next, I'll try 'em all! Blessings on all who post here Paige ----- Original Message ----- From: <Penjacc@aol.com> To: <KILGORE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 05, 2002 11:12 AM Subject: [KILGORE] Re: Alberry B. Hi cousin Paige and all my cousins, Paige, you may already have this tid-bit about Alberry Kilgore but here it is again. This file is where Margaret is applying for a pension after his death on Nov. 9, 1915. This file also states that they were married in Gwinnett Co., GA. on 1-18-1877. A. B. Kilgore (Alberry) died in Sumter Co., Fla. and Margaret is living in Lake CO., Fla. when she files this application. They have lived in FLorida since 11-25-1910 according to the application. >From the above data, you can write to the state of FLorida and get a copy of his death certificate and it will more than likely tell his parents names, including his mother's maiden name. This is normal on a death certificate. DAD-GUM IT!!!!! I was inside their computer reading this application and all of a sudden, it just kicked me out and I cannot get back into it again.... Apparently it did not like me in there!!! HEHEHEHEHEHEH!!! Lake County Florida Confederate Pension Application Files Index A04511 KILGORE Alberry B.
