    3. No Gail, we won't blame it on you. I was glad to see the postings - have missed the days of the "wagon train" - Sandy, you'll have to go to the archives for that as well. I've often gone back and reread the old postings. I even went so far as to print out some of "Randy's ravin's" (how's that for poetry???) and put them into a scrapbook. We've come a long way over the years - and we have a long way to go. Take care everyone. Nina --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! 3. Just couldn't resist throwing my two cents in here. I am one of the moldy oldies. This board has been a source of joy, fun, and some great genealogy. I have belonged to several boards and none of them can compare to this zany group. To Joyce, Randy, Gail, and all the cousins that are ailing. I am sending many hugs, blessings and get well wishes. Welcome to the newbies. You wouldn't think it but we are actually rather accomplished genealogists. Check the archives. I have posted many Kilgo/Kilgore census records. I am still searching for a primary source for a connection from my James Kilgo/Kilgore, who m Frances Pearman in Clarke County GA. They also resided in Gwinnett, and Walton Counties. I believe very strongly that James was the s/o Peter and Rachel Hunter who resided in Johnson and Wake Counties of NC. Good hunting. Freda Kilgo Daniel

    3. No, she wasn't. She was named in her father, Charles' will. What confused people was that she & her husband moved back to VA from Tennessee & settled in among the descendants of Robert & Winnie. Charles' daughter Rebecca who married Adam Sherrill also moved to the same area for a few years before moving back to Tennessee & settling in Bledsoe Co. Robert & Winnie were almost certainly the parents of the girl Nancy Kilgore who was bound out in Tennessee about the same time that Hiram Kilgore was bound out there. They are also probably the parents of the Thomas Kilgore who married a woman named Martha who was living in Russell Co and very near Stephen Kilgore. No record of them has been located prior to this. The 1870 census and subsequent censuses places them in Carroll Co Ga where they and their children are buried.
