Hi Guys THANK YOU for all your prayers and support. The neurosurgeon said at my six week post op exam that since I have made it to this point, he expects me to make a full recovery. I am sure my quick recovery is partially due to years of wearing the official Kilgore garb consisting of tin foil hats and purple shorts. Vickie I am in no hurry since I have been researching this family for years. I would just be interested to see if her husband had any connection to the Whiteside ME church and maybe had a funeral there. The cornerstone of that church was laid by the Masons and evidently he was a Mason although I have not been able to find him on any Maconic list. Also there was no religious service shown in their son's obits so I have no idea if they were churchgoing or not. Mainly I would like to see if my ggrandmother and ggrandfather were listed. We have her name as Rebecca Jane Quinn Jones but her obit and cemetery info shows Rebecca C. Jones. I am assuming that she could have spelled Quinn as Cuinn which some Irish did. There is no pension application for Charles Kilgore. His Rev. War file only contains a request for a new certificate and paper stating what he was eligible to receive.-nothing more. I think it was only the Charles & Winnie line that was discontinued. Jerry Penley stated that the Virginia DAR was no longer accepting Charles & Winnie. I have searched the Chatt Gen Library for some reference to Methodist Episcopal Churches but found very little. My ggrandmother from another line other than Kilgore was evidently a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church because her funeral was held at the Whiteside ME Church in Chatt which was somewhere near Broad St in Chatt, I think.
