Hi Donna, Could it be GGrandpa William Nicholas was married twice? His first wife being Sarah Cody? Wonder where the name Kenton came from and why the change of names? Donna in researching my Mother's family lines nothing now surprises me; well I'm surprised but not shocked. I would always take information from Vital Records over those of our families. Being human our Grandparents and GGrandparents wrote out family lines as they thought we should know them. This seems to be somewhat true in all families. Thank you so much for this information. One other thing--our early families seem to marry into the same families; so Sarah Kidder also marrying a Cody/Cady { Joseph Cody/Cady} would follow this trend.
