Ramona, In answer to your early question, No, I do not know where the ghost story of the Sailor and his peg leg started. Isnt it strange that back in the late 1800's, grown men would sit around the fire at night and tell ghost stories. and in the late 1900's, grown women would sit around the computers at night and tell ghost stories.
