    3. " Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels." Hebrews 13:2 This verse and the following were taken from the newsletter of the Angel of the Garden tea room and restaurant in Waynesville, Ohio: " We stepped out of the Victorian era momentarily on 17 July during our 'Simply Betsy Ross' candlelight dinner, which attracted several from Columbus and Dayton. The atmosphere was patriotic, the cuisine, adapted from Quaker recipes, delectable. The entree consisted of Breast of Chicken with fresh pears in cider cream sauce, accompanied with Dilled Summer Squash and Rice Pilaf. The main meal ended with our version of a Yankee Doodle Dessert and Fresh Peach Shortcake. Guests were entertained with colorful, historical stories of Betsy Ross and her Waynesville kin, along with the history of Quaker cooking. It was learned that Quaker cooking was a matter of nuance and those Quakers of the period preferred tea over coffee. Quakers of the 18th and 19th centuries also liked afternoon teas and lavish evening tea parties." I know this is not Kentucky, but I felt justified because several of my Kentucky kin live there and in the area, and this is a nice place to visit and enjoy the historical ghost stories and tours of Dennis Daulton, the Waynesville Town Crier.
