Good morning to all, I am a new subscriber as of last night , thanks to my pal, Bobbie telling me about you. After reading the first 3 or 4 posts, I can tell you I'm HAPPY to be here with you folks! Friendly list! Rhonda, you asked if anyone has stayed at Cumberland Falls park -- I can tell you that in just 6 short weeks, myself and several other friends will be staying there for 4 days! I can hardly wait - it's my first trip to KY! Apparently the moonbow is a "sight to see" as my granny Hamblin would have said. I hope its ok to post this on your list .... my KY roots are mostly from Central KY - Scott, Laurel and Garrard, and the mountain areas of Whitley, Bell, Clay, Knox, Garrard, Laurel. Surnames are Hamblin, Gatliff, Parker, Johnson, Brock, Shepherd. Thank you for allowing this "Chatty Cathy" to ramble this morning - and again, thanks for your friendly list. Becky in AZ
Hi Becky, We love having another Chatty Cathy on the list. I know you will fall in love with Kentucky and its people; Cumberland Falls and the area around it---The Daniel National Forest--is breath-taking. Enjoy the warmth of people and the wonderful meals served in the Lodge Dining Room. You can watch the birds, squirrels, and just admire the beauty of Nature. It is Serene.
