I have a very elusive ancestor that I need help with. His name is John Lewis (Mac) McSweeney. He was b. Ireland 1818-1820, joined the Union side of the Civil War at age 45, mustered in at Grayson, KY 9/9/1863. The first time I find him is in Carter Co.,KY 1851 when he married Eliza Stafford. They had one child Katherine b. in Johnston Co.,KY and the rest in Morgan & Elliott Co. He lived the rest of his life in Elliott Co. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mary
