    3. Ghost tales: I just happened to buy a book yesterday, cause it was a good deal- $3.00. I thought it was a compilation of short stories. Discovered most of it is a true story about a family in Robertson County, TN, and the ghosts that haunted their house for 4 years in early 1800s. The ghosts pulled the children's hair, twisted it, and pulled covers off the beds. Finally, after inviting a neighbor over to spend the night, the neighbor suggested they try talking to the ghosts. The ghosts talked to them. (This is a really wierd tale, and I can't help but think it has been tremendously fabricated, but who am I to say!!) I haven't read much but this is the strangest bunch of ghosts I've ever heard of. People visited from far and near to experience the ghosts. Ghosts never disappointed them. They would take on the voices of the people in the home, or the people they were talking to. I'll let you know how it turns out. Some of you may already be familiar with this tale. pat -----Original Message----- From: Ramona <kywy@zoomnet.net> To: KENTUCKY-LEGENDS-L@folklore.rootsweb.com <KENTUCKY-LEGENDS-L@folklore.rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, September 14, 1999 9:45 PM Subject: [KENTUCKY-LEGENDS AND FOLKLORE] SOME ONE TELL A TALE OR SOMETHING >Hi Liv, >Would you tell us another ghostly tale--anyone else have a tale to tell >that will take our minds off this worry. >Jump right in if you can think of anything. >Thank you, >Ramona > > >
