Finally heard from Mom. She started to evacuate at 2:05 pm Monday afternoon. She is in White Springs FL(20 miles s. of Valdosta, GA) and 75 miles E. of Tallahassee) right now, and may move on later tonight or tomorrow morning. Trying to rest and watch the weather reports, etc. right now to see what they are predicting. Traffic in FL is practically at a standstill. Mom said one lady has talked on cell phone to her husband and children, and they haven't even made it to the interstate as traffic is so jammed. I am going to monitor weather channel here, and call her back if there is any other news that makes it look like she should evacuate further. Right now, she can't go much of anywhere with all the traffic jams. FL just has hardly any routes to go north on but the two main ones, and they are a mess.
