Speaking of KY Derby, when I was first married I lived right behind Churchill Downs on Southern Parkway. On Derby Day we didn't leave the house. All the neighbors used their yard for parking lots. That was back when all the ladies wore the big flowery hats. I would watch out the window as the ladies walked to the Downs, admiring their beautiful hats. I don't recall anything about a Derby ghost, but I can tell you--those stables smelled all the way to my house..........Pat -----Original Message----- From: Ramona <kywy@zoomnet.net> To: KENTUCKY-LEGENDS-L@folklore.rootsweb.com <KENTUCKY-LEGENDS-L@folklore.rootsweb.com> Date: Sunday, September 12, 1999 8:37 AM Subject: Re: [KENTUCKY-LEGENDS AND FOLKLORE] more stories >Hi Liv, >Do you know the ghost stories about the Kentucky Derby? >We would love for you to share them with us. >Ramona > >----- Original Message ----- >From: Olivia Haughn <Evvia@webtv.net> >To: <KENTUCKY-LEGENDS-L@folklore.rootsweb.com> >Sent: Saturday, September 11, 1999 1:23 PM >Subject: [KENTUCKY-LEGENDS AND FOLKLORE] more stories > > >> I loved the boogers and haints a book on some ones list.....How about >> sharing some of the legends??????
