    3. It's a possibility.... most that I have found of my family are in Floyd Co. then go back to VA, and NC... don't know about the Sturgills just yet, haven't gotten far enough ahead to figure it out.. Rumor is they are from North Carolina... Don't know anything on the Fannin's yet...this side is a real mystery other than the census... thanks for asking though... 3. Hi Leona, The Sturgills were from North Carolina and I am desperately seeking William. I though I had found William Sturgill of Floyd Co, KY but this William's children are all still with us and he was a college professor at the University of Kentucky. We can put out a call for help on the Sturgill link here on RootsWeb. Should we try that? Let me know, Ramona ----- Original Message ----- From: Leona Crist <lcrist@ardmore.com> To: <KENTUCKY-LEGENDS-L@folklore.rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 14, 1999 12:38 PM Subject: Re: [KENTUCKY-LEGENDS AND FOLKLORE] Looking for William Sturgill & Mary Fannin > It's a possibility.... most that I have found of my family are in Floyd Co. > then go back to VA, and NC... don't know about the Sturgills just yet, > haven't gotten far enough ahead to figure it out..
