    1. [KY] FINDING COUNTIES, TOWNS, AND STATES

    3. Hi List, I'm sure most of us oldies know this, but some of the newbies may like it for their records. 1.) To find a county in a state and you only know the town; ROOTSWEB.COM Cover page; scroll down on left hand side to RESEARCH TEMPLATE , Click on United States Counties/States Enter name of town and state, click search. It will give you the name or names of the different counties this town or city is in. You can click on any of them and will take you to the home page for that county. 2.) If you just want to find a county, repeat the process as above, but instead of putting in name of town and state, continue to scroll down on the page and click on the state you need. On the left hand side, scroll down. It will give you a list of the counties in that state. You may click on them to find info needed in that county. It takes you to the home page for that county.
