Carlson, 89, of Clinton, will be at 3 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. The Rev. John Kovalcik will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. She died at 2:37 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 22, 2000) at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton. Memorials may be made to Kairos Rehab Center, Eureka Springs, Ark. She was born July 23, 1911, in Logan County, Ky., the daughter of Newton and Zula Brown Westray. She married Charles H. "Pid" Carlson on Sept. 22, 1935, in Chestnut. He died May 4, 1977. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley A. (Larry) Schoch, Clinton; one son, the Rev. Timothy C. Carlson, Green Forrest, Ark.; future daughter-in-law, Alice Sikes; two sisters, Louise Minton, Maryville, and Novalene Head, Peoria; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
