Bolling James Dunn was a c/o Founder of Quachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. Arkansas and had a great influence on the University there. In 1894 he and his wife Caroline Winston Barton (Edmunds) Dunn went to Fayetteville, Arkansas where he was an orginal Founder of University of Arkansas, where he remained until his retirement and death. He served a total of 50 years in education. They were very prominent families from Kentucky and Arkansas of that era. Bolling James Dunn and Caroline Winston Barton (Edmunds) were my GreatGrandparents, 5 sons, 4 Grandchildren, 5 Greatgrandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. All children and Grandchildren were graduates of University of Arkansas and born in Fayetteville, Arkansas. My Father,William Forbes Dunn 2 was the youngest Grandson. All these Genealogy papers will now be preserved by the University and kept in their Archives, however available to researchers. These papers include historical pages on relatives from historical socities, census's and book referances written about these families and facts from Archives at Quachita Baptist University and also the University of Arkansas. Quachita Baptist University was very thrilled to recieve the Genealogy papers, and called them a "treasure". It was a labor of love and their lives and mine are an open book. Thank you for your time and any interest you might have in them now or in the future. I remain, Sincerely yours, Marilyn Dunn Carothers [email protected] September 30, 2000 Houston, Texas
