Merging or combining file with Family Tree Maker is covered in the section "Combining Files" in the FTM manual and in the "help" file on the tool bar at the tool of the program screen. The information in the help section is vertually the same as what's in the manual. I haven't done it myself as I think I would get too confused as to where I am on my tree! I do know that it is suggested that you back up each file before you begin in case you don't like the way things turn out so you can go back to the way they were. Good luck. Janet
