The Pantagraph Bloomington, Illinois Aug. 30, 2000 McLean County Buddy Watkins ATLANTA -- Buddy Watkins, 58, of Atlanta died at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 29, 2000) at his residence. He had been ill with cancer. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McLean Christian Church, McLean. Tony Billingsley will officiate. He will be cremated later. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta. Memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurse's Association of Springfield or the Atlanta Rescue Squad. He was born Nov. 25, 1941, at Lewisburg, Ky., the son of Willard and Elsie Felty Watkins. He was formerly married to Pamela Billington Fuller. Surviving are three daughters, Amy (Cletus) Ridgeway, Heyworth; and Angela Watkins and Amber Watkins, both of Atlanta; two sisters, Beverly Hoaglin, Lawndale; and Ruth Johnson, Louisville, Ky.; three brothers, Jack Watkins, McLean, Don Watkins, Buckley, Wash., and Jerry Watkins, Herscher; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Watkins served in the U.S. Army and later in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era.
