I have learned that my g.g.g.grandfather, Benjamin Cross was born in Adair Co., KY about 1806. He married a Sarah (Brocks) ? on 26 Aug 1826 in Pulaski Co., KY. I do not know, positively, that Sarah's name was Brocks nor do I know that the wedding date is correct. Benjamin, Sarah and family were found on the 1850 DeWitt Co., IL census. Their first child, John J. was born 26 Jun 1827 in KY. I don't know the location. The family then moved to IL. Their 2nd son, James S. Cross (my g.g. grandfather) was born in Morgan Co. IL on 7 Mar 1830. I have all kinds of information on James S. Cross. What I hope someone can give me is information on the birth of his father, Benjamin Cross in 1806 from Adair Co. KY. The Cross family bible had wonderful records pertaining to John J., his wife and children and ofcourse the James S. Cross records were very complete but NO mention on his parents or other siblings.
