KGS Meeting -- 7pm, April 12 at the KY History Center Myrtle Bates Webb, Past President of the KGS, will share with us "The History of the United Daughters of the Confederacy -- Lexington Chapter (#12). Special guests will accompany her. The UDC Chapter #12 has members from Eastern Kentucky to Bardstown, and the organization has been very active since 1896. Mrs. Webb, a retired elementary school teacher has traveled throughout Kentucky as a storyteller, delivering oral history, often in period costume. The public is invited and encouraged to be there. The meeting will be held at 7pm at the KY History Center, 100 W. Broadway, Frankfort (see www.kyhistory.org for location.) The KGS Board will meet earlier at 6pm.
