    3. Go on line and do a search for the ex-president. His grandfather had a farm in what is now Shelby Co., KY and lived there with his three sons, Mordicai, Thomas and another, Thomas was the father of the Presedent and later lived on a farm in Hardin Co., KY. Old Abeaham was slain by a Indian. Mordicai shot the Indian and became the heir because he was the eldest son. I have a deed in my files where my ancestor, William DOWNARD sold land to a Motfiicai LINCOLN and his wife in Bracken Co., KY. There us a statue dedicated in Mordicai in the Long Run Cemetery on Long Run Road, My son lives nearby.. Motdicai was described in the deed as the "Heir of Abraham LINCOLN", (Grandfather of the President). Does this help??
