Depends on the courthouse, but in Kentucky, as I recall, Deeds and Marriages in the County Recorder office, wills either there or in the probate office. Court Records and Births and Deaths, I couldn't speak to. In Virginia, they have a "circuit court", in Pennsylvania they have a "Prothonotary" You might check this site: http://www.vitalrec.com/ for further information. Usually, I just show up at the courthouse and ask the first person I see <G>. Makes a difference as to the date of the records too.
