Unfortunately I have not got much to go on, apart from two photographs: The first one was taken in 1889 and shows the above as a baby. The photographer was H.G. Mattern, Capital Art Gallery, Frankfort KY. The second one shows a boy of about 10 years old, it could be the person above or a sibling of his. This photograph was taken by L. Bergman 56&58 W.Market St Between 2nd&3rd Sts. Louisville KY. I believe that Johannes Edmund HELLER is the son of my great grandmother's brother, whose first name I don't know. The family came from Thal in the canton of Saint Gall, in North Eastern Switzerland. I was wondering if someone had any information on the above person, or could give me any clues as to where I could go with my research? Does anyone on this list have access to Immigration records, and could do a lookup for a Mr Heller in the years before 1889? Does anyone have any info on Swiss immigration to Kentucky? Does anyone know during which years the photographer L. Bergman operated at the above address? I am grateful for any leads or suggestions. Thank You. -- Best regards, Marianne Australia H. G.
