Mason County Court Order Book B Page 296--August Court, 1796 Upon motion of Dillard Collins, Michael Cassidy, Winslow Parker, Jacob Reed and Patrick Allison are appointed Commissioners to take depositions for perpetuating Testimony for the establishment of land made in the name of Samuel Brockman, Sr., of one thousand acres on the North Fork of Licking and make report to the next court. (Orange County, Virginia. Book 21, page 13, dated February 22, 1796, gives: John Brockman of Orange County and State of Virginia, appoints "my friend Dillard Collins of Clark County and State of Kentucky" attorney to handle "my lands in Kentucky." (Heirs of Dillard Collins settled later in Hopkins Co., Kentucky.)
