    3. THanks so much for checking. I have them on the 1880, and the James W. Gibson 1874, who is ours I have from 1900-1930 on Liberty co. TX census records. Trouble is, he put Ky, Tx, GA, and SC as his and or his parents. Every year is different. And on the 1900 there is a Jim Gibson married to Fannie, and a James Gibson married to Fannie on that one! I believe they are the same person. The first one lists Ky for himself and parents, the second Ga for himself and parents. They are in the same precinct, and Fannie the wife is 18 in both places, both couples are married in the same year, so I am pretty confident they are the same ones, just maybe a little miffed at the census taker wanting info a 2nd time. They were with the in-laws one time, the other in theyre own hh. He came to Liberty county TX sometimes before 1900, married Fannie Hitchcock, raised his family there, and also died there in 1959. What I am trying to prove is that this is the same one in the 1880 census with Daniel and Julia as ours. I am not sure what kind of record I need to prove it with, I can't find a death certificate on him, so it makes it really hard, especially with the missing 1890 census. I have census access. Just need to either find someone working on this family or some sort of record if it exists to help prove these two are the same one. thanks so much for the help. I am going to go back and see if I can find some more info on the census for them. Hopefully something will come up. Its a mess, but somehow it will get figured out. thanks again! dena ----- Original Message ----- From: <User392423@aol.com> To: <KENTUCKY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, September 13, 2003 4:23 PM Subject: Re: [KY] Graves co. I don't know the exact date . Maybe I guessed wrong on my first post. I am not sure if he grew up in Kentucky. He shows up in Texas, or at least his first child Leroy was born in Texas. I need so much to find William as a child and find out who his parents were and where they were born. Maybe his family is in the 1850 or 1860 Kentucky census. Please somebody help me. Thank you so much Nita n Carolina

    3. If someone sent you an email saying to jump out your window, you wouldn't do it. Common sense would prevail. The same common sense should govern deleting files based on some email chain letter. Please, folks, don't follow these "warnings" without first checking with reputable sources. If you have Norton Anti-Virus (the best) or even MacAfee, you needn't bother with these warnings. And if you don't have an anti-virus program or are expecting AOL to keep you virus-free, then you're begging for problems anyway. Bill

    1. [KY] Virus Hoax
    2. Once again, a genealogical mailing list is not the place for a virus warning, particularly one that the sender did not bother to research. This hoax has been on the Internet for at least two years, and is fully documented at any website dealing with viruses.

Check the KY Historical Society's web site at: http://history.ky.gov/ Click on "Research Databases" at the top of the page. There was an article in today's Lexington paper about the oral history tapes; you can read the article online at: http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/6660330.htm While you're at the KHS web site, you can also check out their cemetery database as well as the KY Encyclopedia online. Not to mention KHS' online card catalog, with complete instructions on how to use it.

    2. Nancy T R I C E
    3. This is a false warning. If you follow the instructions in the eRumor, you will be deleting a valid file, not a virus. jdbgmgr.exe is a Windows file associated with Java. Fortunately, even if you did delete the file, it should not cause major problems and Windows should continue to work normally. You will want to get the file back, however, so your Windows installation will be in complete working order. Without the file, the handling of some filenames may be affected if they become corrupted. It is identical to another false virus warning about a file named sulfnbk.exe. The icon for the real file does have a teddy bear on it. To provide the best protection for your computer, be sure you have good virus protection software and that the virus definitions for it are up to date. Note: Even though this virus warning is a hoax, there is a real virus called BugBear that should not be confused with it. Before forwarding these things to everyone you know, check to see if it is a hoax. You'll find links to several websites that deal with these things on the KyGenWeb website at: http://www.kygenweb.net/other/hoax.html My favorite is the 2nd one listed... Truth or fiction.com That site has more on this hoax here: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/jdbgmgr.htm If you have already deleted the file you'll find directions on how to restore it here too. 3. I checked the book MARRIAGES IN HENDERSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, 1806-1858 by Shirley C. Moody and found no Jesse. The only Clark marriage prior to the birth of the children was for Benjamin Clark in 1812. Mary > Dear List, > > Is there a total source for KY marriages? I am seeking a marriage for a > Jesse Clark. 1. [KY] Marriage lookup, perhaps?
    2. Dear List, Is there a total source for KY marriages? I am seeking a marriage for a Jesse Clark. Jesse/Jessie was b. 1809-10 (according to 1850 MO census). He had two children born in KY in 1832 so I imagine his marriage would have been around 1830. I have no idea where in KY this marriage occurred. Both children born in 1832 always say their birth state was KY. I know it's a long shot. Would greatly appreciate any help. Sincerely, Judy in TX
