Most spam programs are pre-programed to spit out any message with the word spam included. I have to go in and rescue every single KY list message before it is bounced back to rootsweb. 3. Hello everyone, Just a quick note to let you know that I had to move the site. The new URL is http://www.usgennet.org/family/baicon/soky.html and the network url is http://www.usgennet.org/family/baicon/ky/ I lost all the old posts. The server became over loaded and crashed. Please feel free to re-enter your surnames, Most Wanted, Folklore, and unsolved mysteries. Sorry we have to start over, but who knows, perhaps you can make a new contection with the boards being much smaller now. If you have a website with my old link on it please update the url, and send me your url (private email, so not to clog up this list.) and I will return your link on my site. 3. I am looking for information on Reuben SAUNDERS, born 1763 in Caroline County, VA, died 10-26-1842 Shelby County, KY. There is some dispute about his wife's identity, but the research I have received from others indicates 8 children, some born in VA. He may or may not be Reuben (Wren?) SAUNDERS, husband of Fanny GRAY (born 1788 Caroline County, VA). Bill

    3. Sherri; My service isn't bouncing any of my mailing list e-mail. However, they are catching a considerable amount of it in their "SPAM Trap." When this happens they post it to my personal web page along with those that don't pass their virus screening and when it gets close to a million megs they notify me to clean it out. A lot of those they catch could be considered as true SPAM except that they have the blessing of the list mom. Examples are e-bay listings, items for sale, etc. Jerry Sanford ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sherri Hall" <ldrbelties@earthlink.net> To: <KENTUCKY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2004 3:14 PM Subject: [KY] AOL Bouncing | For those of you with aol addresses, it appears that AOL is bouncing mail | from Rootsweb's KENTUCKY mail list because they're considering them as | mass-mailings (spam). States that Mahala married a JOSIAH SPENCER born june 14, 1898. His parents were SAMUEL SPENCER and CATHERINE BRUNER. Mahala and Josiah Spencer lived in Breckinridge co. Ky. 3. For those who have not discovered it already, eBay is a great resource for genealogical material. Besides books, you can find old maps, post cards and memorabilia of all kinds. Most of this stuff just can't be found anywhere else. In eBay, try doing a search on your county name, or on a town in the county. You might be pleasantly surprised at what you find, and the prices are very reasonable.
